Trinant Sports and Social Club has been established in its current location since about 1964, once a thriving Sports and Social Club and hub of the community, Recent economic setbacks and recession have seen the pound in the peoples pocket reduced, certainly, there are more things to spend money on than drink and entertainment.
A new Committee took over the running of the then Social Club in April 2012, Since then, dramatic changes have been made in the way finances are controlled. In May 2013 after some hard work the Social club added to its name "Charitable Incorporated Organisation" following a vote by members. We are now Registered with the Charity Commission with the Registration number 1152566.
The building is in need of some repair but don't let that deter you. the atmosphere is brilliant
The Committee became Trustees, and run the Charity for the Members, who have voting rights. One does not have to be a member to use the facility, however, this is encouraged. The Facility is there for the Whole of Trinant, Cwm-Nant, Pentwyn and Surrounding areas.
Our aim is to encourage Community Spirit, We are totally anti drugs. We have a bar and dance hall, in which we make most of our income, we have a Club Premises Certtificate, therefore, if you wish to drink or purchase alcohol you must be a member or a guest of a member.
The more members and support we get the more we can do for the community.
We need to make urgent improvements to the fabric of the building.
The Trustees all have day jobs and are volunteers and take no wages or benefit from the Charity
